Answer EASYDIM Lightbulbs are tested at a variety of brightness levels and at higher voltage than normal, this is to accelerate their life span (this is normal practice in bulb manufacture). The start and finish times of the test are logged, and a British standard formula is then used to calculate what real time life span this would equate to. As with most light bulb manufacturers the times quoted assumes 2-3 hours a day average use. Top of Page Question How do I operate an EASYDIM Lightbulb? Answer 1. Switch ON, the EASYDIM Lightbulb will now start cycling from the dimmest level upwards. 2. When the required brightness is reached, switch the bulb OFF momentarily and then back ON, EASYDIM has now selected your required level. 3. But we take your investment in our products very seriously, so any damaged products will be replaced free of charge. All we ask you is to send back the broken product with a copy of your receipt, if the glass is broken you need only to return the cap of the product. EASYDIM Lightbulbs allow the user to save energy by turning the light down at times when less brightness is needed. Answer Without getting too technical, EASYDIM Lightbulbs have a microcontroller (a computer) built in to the cap. This and other components have the ability to remember the level at which you switched the power off, which then allows the computer to switch the Lightbulb on at the level you have selected.
